Didcot Town Youth Development had to settle for a point after conceding late in the game against Frilsham and Yattendon.
The two teams, who were level on the points ahead of the game, fought out a 1-1 draw on the Loop Meadow Stadium training pitch.
Ollie Tyler gave Didcot an early lead. Ollie controlled the ball with his right foot before beating the Frilsham keeper with a left foot volley.
Didcot were reduced to ten men for ten minutes in the first half. Dan Knapp was sin binned for challenging the referees decision. It was a colourful challenge that can't be printed.
His afternoon went from bad to worse when he returned to the game. Dan went down with a knee injury after it looked like he'd been shot by a sniper. The injury forced him out of the game and imminent retirement may be staring the ageing defender in the eyes. (He said i wouldn't put it in the report).
Frilsham were enjoying plenty of the game and only wayward finishing and a couple of smart saves from the Didcot keeper kept them ahead at the break.
The second half was somehow more scrappy than the first half and Frilsham levelled with around 15 minutes remaining. A free-kick into the Didcot box was flicked home.
The game became very open in the closing stages and Didcot almost won it with the last attack of the game. A shot from the edge of the area was half saved by the Frilsham keeper and scrambled away and moments later, the referee blew for full time.
