Didcot Town Youth Development progressed through to the semi-final of the North Berks Charity Shield with a 4-1 win at Frilsham and Yattendon on Saturday.
Manager Ady Mcgibbon once again showed his desire to bring through the youth from the football club into the men's game, with eight of the squad aged just 16-years old.
Harrison Andrews is the latest from our current crop of under 16s to make his debut. Harrison had an assured debut and there was a first goal for fellow under 16, Mason Brown.
Austin Crutchley impressed once again in the centre of defence and Harry Parrot played a key role in the game playing as a number 10. All of the 16 year olds looking confident and comfortable making the step up to men's football.
To the game and the sides went in level at the break with Sam Borland on target for Didcot.
The second half saw Didcot prove to strong for their hosts, with Marcus Groves, Bradley Moon and Mason Brown all on target.

We have Director of football Andy Lyne, his staff and manager Jamie Heapy all working alongside both development managers Chris Hedges and Ady McGibbon. We are also about to appoint someone as the head of football development. This will help with the progression of the players from the development teams at the club. The future of the club is really looking bright.
The development team play their semi-final at the Loop Meadow Stadium on Friday night against Swindon Supermarine. The bar will be open, so come down and support our future first team players.
